Maths

WALT: solve multiplication problems by using place value partitioning

39 x 16 = 
10 x 16 = 160
10 x 16 = 160
10 x 16 = 160
9 x 16 = 144
160 + 160 + 160 + 144 = 624

39 x 16 =
30 x 10 = 300
30 x 6 =   180
9 x 10 =     90
9 x 6  =      54
300 + 180 + 90 + 54 = 624

    I'm Jemma from paroa school, I'm one of your buddie schools! I like how you've done this and broken it up but Instead of multiplying 10x16 three times you could go 10x16=160 then do 160x3=480 which will be an easier way to right it.
