Kiwi Sport

Today the Senior School had its first Kiwisport session for this term.

Ben, from Auckland Badminton, taught us some badminton skills.
We used a badminton racket and a shuttle.

We learnt how to hit the shuttle using forearm hit and backhand hit.
Ben also taught us how to hold the racket using different grips.

I felt super excited because I learnt how to hold the racket correctly.

  1. Well done Victoria. Now that you know how to hold the racket correctly, you will surely improve your hitting skills.

  2. Great learning of a new skill in the sport of badminton. We have played that in the past at Awapuni School.

  3. Thanks for sharing with us about your KiwiSport learning. Some of our Room 2 kids have also played badminton. About four of us go to play badminton at another school some afternoons. We thought that what would make this post even more interesting was to have some video or photos and an explanation about how you felt about playing. Thanks for sharing your learning with us. 5. Hi Room 10.... Yesterday we looked at your blog and I messaged your Teacher Mr Nath who told me you are working on an inquiry on CREEPY CRAWLIES. I wonder if you have the same CREEPY CRAWLIES as we do down here in Gisborne! Spiders, Praying Mantis, cockroach (Gisborne has HUGE ones) centipede, beetles, millipede are some of the animals Room 2 think are CREEPY. We are looking forward to reading your blogs about these animals.
